Cassella Farbwerke Mainkur was a significant German chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturer headquartered in Frankfurt-Fechenheim. Founded in 1870, the company initially specialized in synthetic dyes before expanding into pharmaceuticals, where it developed notable cardiovascular drugs such as the coronary vasodilator Intensain (chromonar). Historically, Cassella was a constituent of the I.G. Farben trust and was later acquired by Hoechst AG in 1970.
