Formed in 2018 by Diplomat Pharmacy through the integration of LDI Integrated Pharmacy Services and National Pharmaceutical Services, the company aimed to manage drug spend across both pharmacy and medical benefits. CastiaRx specialized in serving small to mid-size employer groups and union groups, utilizing data analytics to optimize patient outcomes and reduce costs. In 2020, its parent company, Diplomat, was acquired by OptumRx (a division of UnitedHealth Group), and CastiaRx's operations were subsequently integrated into the Optum platform.
