Catholic Initiatives

Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) was a prominent non-profit, faith-based healthcare system headquartered in Englewood, Colorado. Established in 1996 through the merger of three Catholic health systems, it grew to become one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States, operating across 18 states. In February 2019, CHI merged with Dignity Health to form CommonSpirit Health, creating one of the largest non-profit health systems in the country. The organization was dedicated to providing high-quality clinical care, advancing medical research through its dedicated research institute, and serving vulnerable populations. Its operations included a vast network of hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community health services.
