CBA Florida

CBA Florida, formerly known as Cord Blood America, was a U.S. cord blood and cord tissue banking company that provided private collection, processing, preservation, and storage services for newborn stem cell units. The company also procured birth tissue for organizations involved in transplantation and therapeutic research. In May 2018, substantially all operating assets were sold to California Cryobank Stem Cell Services LLC, which integrated the business with its FamilyCord operations. After that sale, CBA Florida stated that it had no active business operations and functioned only as a wind-down entity holding residual cash and liabilities. The company later pursued liquidating distributions, including a final distribution announced in July 2024.
