CCS Pawlowski GmbH was a German medical technology company based in Jena, specializing in digital imaging solutions for ophthalmology. Founded in 1992 by Dirk Pawlowski, the company developed high-resolution digital cameras and software for diagnostic imaging of the eye, including fundus photography and angiography. Its technology served as a core component for advanced ophthalmic platforms such as the WinStation and EyeScan systems. The company was acquired by MediVision in 2004 and subsequently integrated into Ophthalmic Imaging Systems (OIS), which later became part of Merge Healthcare and IBM Watson Health. The legal entity was liquidated and officially deleted from the commercial register in 2021.
