Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cedara Software was a leading provider of medical imaging software and technologies for the healthcare industry, specializing in custom solutions for medical device manufacturers (OEMs) and clinical end-users. Founded in 1982 as ISG Technologies, the company rebranded to Cedara in 1999 and became a pioneer in vendor-neutral imaging technologies. Their portfolio included advanced visualization tools, image management systems, and clinical workflow automation for modalities such as MRI, CT, PET, and ultrasound. Cedara's technology was integrated into the products of major global medical equipment manufacturers, including GE, Siemens, and Philips. In 2005, the company merged with Merge eMed to form Merge Healthcare, which was later acquired by IBM and subsequently became part of Merative.
