Celimmune

Celimmune was a clinical-stage immunotherapy company focused on developing transformative therapies for celiac disease and other serious immune-mediated diseases. Founded in 2015, the company's primary focus was the development of AMG 714, a monoclonal antibody designed to block interleukin-15, a key cytokine in the pathogenesis of celiac disease. Celimmune successfully advanced AMG 714 into Phase 2 clinical trials for both gluten-free diet-challenged celiac disease and refractory celiac disease type II. In 2017, the company was acquired by Amgen, which had originally licensed the asset to Celimmune. Following the acquisition, the lead asset was later licensed to Provention Bio for further development.
