Overview
Celixir developed a proprietary allogeneic cell therapy platform focused on heart failure. Its lead product, Heartcel™ (immunomodulatory progenitor cells), was tested in a Phase 1/2 trial for ischemic cardiomyopathy with initial safety and feasibility demonstrated. Clinical progress was delayed by the COVID pandemic but is being revived following acquisition by Ashington Innovation via SPAC reverse merger in 2023. Patents have been granted for their technology in the US, EU, and Asia.
