Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cell Kinetics was an Israeli biotechnology company that developed the Cell-Scan (CS) technology, a high-sensitivity static cytometer designed for the functional analysis of living cells. The platform utilized fluorescence polarization to monitor the 'Structuredness of the Cytoplasmic Matrix' (SCM), providing unique insights into cellular responses to various biological and chemical stimuli. The company's primary focus was on oncology, where the technology was used for early cancer detection, monitoring chemotherapy efficacy, and immune system profiling. By enabling the study of individual cell dynamics in a non-destructive manner, Cell Kinetics aimed to bridge the gap between traditional cytology and functional proteomics. Although the company was a pioneer in the field of live-cell functional imaging, it is no longer active.
