Cellana

Cellana is a private U.S. algae biotechnology company developing and commercializing microalgae-based products for human nutrition, animal feed, and biofuel applications. Its core business centers on marine microalgae cultivation and downstream processing to produce the ReNew product line, including omega-3 EPA and DHA oils, algae meal, and biofuel feedstocks. The company's proprietary ALDUO platform combines photobioreactors with open ponds to enable large-scale outdoor production of diverse non-GMO algae strains. Cellana has operated a demonstration facility in Hawaii and is pursuing commercialization of integrated algae biorefineries in multiple geographies. In recent years, the company has also expanded toward consumer nutrition through a merger agreement with PhytoSmart.
