CellASIC

CellASIC was a U.S.-based life science tools company that developed microfluidic platforms for live-cell analysis, long-term perfusion cell culture, and time-lapse microscopy applications. The company emerged from UC Berkeley bioengineering research and commercialized the CellASIC ONIX platform, which enabled precise control of media flow, gas, temperature, and other culture conditions for dynamic cell biology experiments. Its products were used as research instruments rather than therapeutic drug programs, with applications spanning cell signaling, microbiology, stem cell biology, and other laboratory workflows. CellASIC was acquired by Merck KGaA's life science business and its technology continued in the market under the Merck Millipore/MilliporeSigma CellASIC ONIX and ONIX2 product lines.
