CELLforCURE

CELLforCURE, now operating as part of SEQENS, is one of Europe's leading contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) specializing in advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), including cell and gene therapies. The company has supported the manufacture of clinical and commercial batches for multiple partners, including CAR-T therapies such as Novartis' Kymriah (tisagenlecleucel), Smart Immune's SMART101, and CellProthera's ProtheraCytes®. It holds GMP certification from French authorities and has demonstrated capacity to scale from early-stage to late-stage/commercial production[1][5][6][7].

The company was originally founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of LFB Biotechnologies. In December 2018, Novartis announced an agreement to acquire CellforCure from LFB Group to expand its cell/gene therapy manufacturing network[6]. More recently, it operates under the name CELLforCURE by SEQENS following integration into the global Seqens group[2][5].

Its facility in Les Ulis (near Paris) serves European clients with large-scale GMP-compliant production capabilities. Recent partnerships include Smart Immune (manufacturing SMART101 clinical batches) and CellProthera (Phase 3 supply of ProtheraCytes®)[5][7].

The company does not have its own therapeutic pipeline but enables commercialization/clinical advancement for client companies across hematology/oncology/immunology/cardiovascular fields.
