Company intelligence / Profile preview
CellPoint Diagnostics was a biotechnology company specializing in the development of circulating tumor cell (CTC) analyzers for cancer diagnosis and monitoring. Founded in 2004, the company utilized a proprietary microfluidic platform, known as the CTC-chip, to isolate rare tumor cells from peripheral blood samples with high sensitivity. Its primary application was a liquid biopsy assay designed to identify EGFR mutations in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) to predict their response to tyrosine kinase inhibitors. In 2008, the company's technology platform for hepatic cancer was acquired by Actis Biologics, and the company is no longer active as an independent entity.
