CellScale Biomaterials

CellScale is a private Canadian life science tools company that develops and sells mechanical testing systems, bioreactors, and custom instrumentation for biomaterials, mechanobiology, tissue engineering, and related biomedical research. Founded in 2005 from research at the University of Waterloo, the company commercializes instruments used to characterize the mechanical properties of natural tissues, hydrogels, engineered microtissues, 3D bioprinted constructs, and orthopedic or soft biomaterials. Its product portfolio includes uniaxial, biaxial, and micro-scale testing systems as well as cell and tissue stimulation platforms.
