CellTraffix is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company focused on leveraging the body's natural cell-trafficking mechanisms to treat and diagnose diseases. Founded on research from Cornell and Vanderbilt Universities, the company's platform utilizes selectin-mediated adhesion—the process by which white blood cells "roll" along blood vessel walls—to target circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and inflammatory cells. Their lead programs involve functionalizing leukocytes with therapeutic proteins like TRAIL to neutralize metastatic cancer cells while they are still in the bloodstream.
