Celltran was a UK-based regenerative medicine company specializing in the development of autologous cell therapies for wound healing and skin repair. Spun out from the University of Sheffield, the company developed its flagship product, Myskin, which utilized a patient's own skin cells (keratinocytes) delivered on a specialized polymer film to treat chronic ulcers and severe burns. This approach aimed to accelerate healing and provide a more effective alternative to traditional skin grafting. The company was acquired by Intercytex in 2005 to consolidate expertise in the tissue engineering market and expand their portfolio of advanced wound care products.
