Company intelligence / Profile preview
CeNGEPS (Centre National de Gestion des Essais des Produits de Santé) was a French Public Interest Group (GIP) established in 2006 to enhance the efficiency and attractiveness of clinical research in France. It functioned as a strategic intermediary between the pharmaceutical industry and public healthcare institutions, specifically focusing on industrial clinical trials. The organization was funded through a partnership between the French government and LEEM, the association representing the pharmaceutical industry. CeNGEPS played a vital role in professionalizing clinical research sites by funding clinical research coordinators and standardizing administrative procedures. Although it was dissolved at the end of 2014, its missions were integrated into the French Ministry of Health to continue supporting the national clinical research infrastructure.
