Cent Pharms

Central Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (often abbreviated as Cent Pharms in regulatory filings) was a pharmaceutical company based in Seymour, Indiana, specializing in the manufacture of generic prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Founded in 1904 as The Central Pharmacal Co., the company developed a diverse portfolio of products including corticosteroids, analgesics, and respiratory treatments. In 1995, the company was acquired by the German pharmaceutical firm Schwarz Pharma for approximately 177.5 million USD. Following subsequent acquisitions, the Seymour facility became part of UCB and later Kremers Urban Pharmaceuticals, which is now part of Lannett.
