Center for a Healthy Maryland

The Center for a Healthy Maryland is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves as the charitable arm of MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society. Established to advance the health of Maryland residents, the Center focuses on public health advocacy, physician wellness, and the preservation of medical history. Its primary programs include the Maryland Professional Assistance Program (MPAP), which provides support and monitoring for healthcare professionals facing illness or substance use disorders. Additionally, the Center leads community health initiatives such as the Sugar Free Kids Maryland coalition to combat childhood obesity and chronic disease. It also maintains the MedChi Archives, a significant collection of historical medical documents and artifacts.
