Center for Personalized Cancer Treatment

The Center for Personalized Cancer Treatment (CPCT) is a prominent Dutch research consortium and foundation focused on advancing precision oncology. The organization operates as a collaborative network involving major Dutch university medical centers and hospitals to standardize genomic analysis for cancer patients. By utilizing whole-genome sequencing (WGS), CPCT identifies specific genetic alterations in tumors to match patients with the most effective targeted therapies or clinical trials. A cornerstone of their work is the Drug Rediscovery Protocol (DRUP) trial, which evaluates the efficacy of approved drugs outside their labeled indications based on molecular profiles. CPCT maintains a large-scale national database of clinical and genomic data in partnership with the Hartwig Medical Foundation to support international cancer research.
