Center for Victims of Torture

The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the healing of survivors of torture and war atrocities. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, CVT provides comprehensive rehabilitative care, including mental health services, physiotherapy, and social support, to survivors in the United States and internationally. Beyond direct clinical care, the organization engages in research to develop best practices for trauma treatment and advocates for the end of torture worldwide. CVT also provides training and technical assistance to other healthcare providers and human rights organizations to build global capacity for survivor support.
