Central Jersey Spinal Cord Association

The Central Jersey Spinal Cord Association (CJSCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to funding research for a cure for spinal cord injuries and providing support to individuals living with paralysis. Founded in 1987 by Kevin Hoagland, the association operates as an all-volunteer entity with no paid employees, ensuring that funds raised go directly toward its mission. CJSCA provides financial assistance for adaptive equipment, home and vehicle modifications, and advocacy services for people with spinal cord dysfunction in the Central New Jersey area. Additionally, the organization is a significant supporter of research initiatives, notably contributing to the Spinal Cord Injury Project at Rutgers University and the Children's Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick.
