Company intelligence / Profile preview
Central Plains Clinic was a prominent multi-specialty medical group based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, that provided a wide range of healthcare services including oncology, internal medicine, and pediatrics. The clinic was a significant participant in clinical research, particularly through its involvement in the Sanford Community Cancer Consortium and various NIH-funded oncology trials. In 2001, Central Plains Clinic merged with the Sioux Valley Physician Alliance to form the Sioux Valley Clinic, which eventually became part of Sanford Health. This merger helped establish the foundation for what is now one of the largest integrated rural health systems in the United States. Today, its legacy continues through the extensive clinical and research operations of the Sanford Health network.
