Central Soya was a prominent American agribusiness and food ingredient company specializing in soybean processing and the production of soy-based derivatives. Established in 1934, the company became a global leader in the development of soy protein isolates and lecithin, which serve as essential components in clinical nutrition, dietary supplements, and pharmaceutical formulations. The company's innovations in extraction and refining technologies helped establish soy as a primary source of vegetable protein and functional lipids for the healthcare and food industries. In the late 20th century, Central Soya's specialty ingredients business was a key contributor to the Solae joint venture with DuPont, focusing on high-value soy proteins.
