Centre Québécois d’Innovation en Biotechnologie

Centre Québécois d’Innovation en Biotechnologie (CQIB) is a Quebec-based life sciences incubator and accelerator focused on supporting biotech, medtech, and digital health companies rather than developing its own therapeutic pipeline. Founded in the mid-1990s and inaugurated in 1996 by the City of Laval and the National Institute for Scientific Research (INRS), the organization provides turnkey laboratories, office space, access to advanced shared scientific equipment, and business support services. CQIB positions itself as a one-stop hub for company creation, acceleration, commercialization support, and soft-landing for foreign firms entering Canada. It operates within Laval’s Cité de la Biotech ecosystem and serves entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors developing new therapies, medical technologies, and health solutions.
