Company intelligence / Profile preview
Centro Gamma Knife Radiocirurgia is a specialized medical facility in Lisbon, Portugal, dedicated to advanced stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) using the Leksell Gamma Knife technology. Operating as an independent unit within the CUF Tejo Hospital and part of the José de Mello Saúde group, the center provides non-invasive treatments for a variety of intracranial conditions, including benign and malignant brain tumors, vascular malformations, and functional neurological disorders. Since its opening in 2007, it has established itself as a center of excellence, utilizing high-precision radiation to treat lesions with sub-millimeter accuracy while sparing healthy brain tissue. The center's multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, and physicists offers a safe, single-session alternative to traditional open-brain surgery. It remains the only facility in Portugal exclusively focused on Gamma Knife radiosurgery, serving both domestic and international patients.
