Cephac Europe

Cephac Europe was a prominent French Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in bioanalysis, pharmacokinetics, and drug metabolism studies. Founded as the Centre d'Etudes de Pharmacocinétique et de Chimie, the company provided essential support for pharmaceutical development through its expertise in analytical chemistry and clinical pharmacology. It operated a major facility in Saint-Benoît, France, serving a global client base of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. In 1998, Cephac was acquired by MDS Pharma Services, becoming a key component of their European bioanalytical operations. Following subsequent industry consolidations, its legacy and facilities were eventually integrated into Eurofins Scientific. The company was recognized for its early adoption of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards in Europe.
