Ceptyr was a biotechnology company specializing in the discovery and development of small molecule therapeutics targeting protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs). The company established a leading position in PTP research, with a primary focus on PTP1B as a validated target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity. Utilizing its proprietary drug discovery platform, Ceptyr identified selective inhibitors for various PTPs involved in metabolic, oncological, and inflammatory pathways.
