Company intelligence / Profile preview
CereVasc’s eShunt System is a minimally invasive, endovascularly implantable cerebrospinal fluid shunt designed to treat communicating hydrocephalus. In a U.S. pilot study of 30 elderly patients with normal pressure hydrocephalus, the device met both primary safety and efficacy endpoints at 90 days—showing no serious adverse events or unanticipated effects and demonstrating clinical improvement in 97% of patients. The company has received two FDA Breakthrough Device Designations, including one for pediatric use. The STRIDE pivotal trial is currently enrolling globally. The eShunt platform also shows promise as a CNS gene therapy delivery method.
