Changsheng Bio-technology, formerly known as Changchun Longevity Biological Technology, was a prominent Chinese biotechnology company focused on the development and production of human vaccines. At its peak, it was one of the largest vaccine manufacturers in China, supplying products for rabies, influenza, and varicella. However, the company collapsed in 2018 following a high-profile scandal involving the falsification of production data for its rabies vaccine and the distribution of substandard DTaP vaccines. These violations led to the revocation of its manufacturing licenses, the imposition of a $1.3 billion fine, and the company's eventual bankruptcy and delisting from the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The scandal prompted significant changes in China's vaccine regulations and the dismissal of several high-ranking officials.
