ChangHeber

ChangHeber is a prominent high-tech joint venture established between the Changchun Institute of Biological Products in China and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) in Cuba. The company specializes in the research, development, and large-scale production of recombinant DNA-derived therapeutic proteins, most notably Recombinant Human Interferon alfa-2b. Its flagship product, Heberon Alfa R, is widely used for treating viral infections such as Hepatitis B and C, as well as various oncological conditions. ChangHeber gained significant international attention during the COVID-19 pandemic as its interferon treatment was utilized as a key antiviral therapy in clinical protocols in China.
