Charter Hospital of Jacksonville was a private psychiatric facility located in Jacksonville, Florida, that specialized in behavioral health and substance abuse treatment. As a subsidiary of Charter Medical Corporation, it provided a comprehensive range of services including inpatient crisis stabilization, detoxification, and outpatient counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. The hospital was part of a national network that was once the largest provider of psychiatric services in the United States. Following the financial restructuring and eventual dissolution of Charter Medical Corporation in the late 1990s, the facility was sold and rebranded, and it no longer operates under the Charter name.
