Company intelligence / Profile preview
Chefaro Pharma is a consumer healthcare company originally based in the Netherlands, specializing in over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and diagnostic products. Historically a subsidiary of AkzoNobel's pharmaceutical division (Organon), the company became widely recognized for leading brands such as Predictor pregnancy tests and Davitamon vitamins. In 2001, Chefaro was acquired by the Belgian company Omega Pharma for approximately 105 million euros, which integrated Chefaro's extensive distribution network and product portfolio. Following Omega Pharma's acquisition by Perrigo in 2015, Chefaro's operations were fully absorbed into Perrigo's global consumer self-care business. The company's legacy continues through its established brands, which remain household names in the Dutch and European healthcare markets.
