Cheminova is a Danish multinational chemical company that primarily develops, manufactures, and markets crop protection products, including insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Founded in 1938 and headquartered in Lemvig, Denmark, the company established a global footprint with subsidiaries in over 20 countries and distribution in more than 100 countries. In 2015, Cheminova was acquired by FMC Corporation for approximately $1.8 billion, integrating its extensive portfolio of active ingredients and registrations into FMC's Agricultural Solutions division. In late 2026, FMC announced plans to close the former Cheminova manufacturing facility in Denmark.
