Chengdu Institute

Chengdu Institute of Biological Products (CDIBP) is a prominent Chinese biopharmaceutical enterprise and a key subsidiary of the China National Biotec Group (CNBG), which operates under the Sinopharm umbrella. Established in 1958 and based in Chengdu, the institute is a major hub for the research, development, and production of vaccines and blood-derived products. CDIBP made history in 2013 by becoming the first Chinese vaccine manufacturer to achieve World Health Organization (WHO) prequalification for its live-attenuated Japanese Encephalitis vaccine.
