Company intelligence / Profile preview
Chesapeake Medical Imaging was a Maryland-based outpatient diagnostic imaging provider and radiology practice that operated multiple imaging centers across the Baltimore-Washington region and Maryland's Eastern Shore. The company offered commercial imaging services including MRI, CT, X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, PET/CT, bone density testing, and related image-guided procedures, supported by board-certified subspecialty radiologists. Founded in 2001 by radiologist Mark D. Baganz, the group grew into a multi-site regional imaging operator with a strong presence in Annapolis and surrounding markets. In November 2025, RadNet acquired Chesapeake Medical Imaging's assets for approximately $29 million, and the private practice ceased operating independently effective March 1, 2026. Its former centers have since been integrated into RadNet-affiliated brands such as Advanced Radiology and Community Radiology Associates.
