Company intelligence / Profile preview
Childhaven was a Washington-based nonprofit child and family services organization focused on preventing and treating childhood trauma, abuse, and neglect through early intervention, counseling, developmental support, and community-based family services. Historically headquartered in the Seattle area, it provided programs including child and family counseling, early support for infants and toddlers, early learning, youth mentoring, and health-related services embedded in pediatric primary care. In January 2024, Childhaven merged with Children's Home Society of Washington to form Akin, which now operates as the successor organization. While Childhaven was healthcare-adjacent through behavioral health and trauma-informed services, it was not a biotech, pharma, or life sciences drug-development company.
