Children of the World Foundation

Children of the World Foundation (COW Foundation) is a non-governmental organization based in Uganda that focuses on improving the lives of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). The foundation provides a range of healthcare, educational, and psychosocial support services, with a particular emphasis on children affected by HIV/AIDS and trauma in post-conflict regions like Northern Uganda. Its health initiatives include community-led maternal and infant health services, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, and psychosocial rehabilitation for children and families. COW Foundation collaborates with international partners such as the CDC and Malaria Consortium to implement public health programs and improve service delivery at the district level. The organization also works to strengthen household incomes through livelihood support and promotes the rights of children through a holistic, gender-sensitive approach.
