CIGB-Heber Biotec

Heber Biotec is the commercial arm of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) in Havana, Cuba. The company is a leader in the Latin American biotechnology sector, focusing on the development, production, and marketing of recombinant proteins, vaccines, and synthetic peptides. Its flagship product, Heberprot-P, is a first-in-class therapy for diabetic foot ulcers that significantly reduces the risk of amputation.
