CIGB Sancti Spíritus

CIGB Sancti Spíritus is a specialized Cuban biotechnology center focused on the development and industrial production of monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and diagnostic reagents. As a key unit of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) within the BioCubaFarma group, it provides essential components for national healthcare programs, including the HeberFast Line of pregnancy tests. The center plays a vital role in the production of reagents for flagship Cuban products such as the Abdala COVID-19 vaccine and the therapeutic Heberprot-P. Its facilities are equipped for high-purity protein purification and the generation of biological tools used in clinical diagnostics.
