Compagnie Industrielle de la Matière Végétale (CIMV) is a French industrial biotechnology company specialized in the biorefining of plant matter into high-value bio-based components. The company has developed a proprietary organosolv process that separates non-food lignocellulosic biomass, such as agricultural residues and wood, into cellulose, pentose sugars, and a unique form of lignin called Biolignin.
