CINVENTION

CINVENTION AG was a German medical technology company that specialized in the development of advanced surface coatings and drug delivery platforms for implantable medical devices. The company's core technology was a proprietary, non-polymeric, nano-structured carbon-composite matrix designed to deliver therapeutic agents directly from the surface of stents and other implants. This "polymer-free" approach was intended to minimize the inflammatory responses and late-stage thrombosis often associated with traditional polymer-based drug-eluting stents. CINVENTION's lead product, the Corel + C drug-eluting stent, was developed in collaboration with Relisys Medical Devices and underwent clinical evaluation in the COREL trial. Although the company is no longer active, its innovations in biocompatible coatings contributed to the evolution of next-generation stent technology.
