Circulomics

Circulomics is a genomics sample-preparation and life science tools company best known for its Nanobind technology for extracting high-molecular-weight DNA for long-read sequencing workflows. The company originated as a Johns Hopkins spinout and evolved from earlier microRNA and single-molecule analysis work into commercialization of sequencing sample prep products. Its products have been used across human biomedical research, plant and animal science, microbiology, and other genomics applications. In August 2021, Circulomics was acquired by Pacific Biosciences, and its technologies became part of PacBio's broader end-to-end long-read sequencing workflow offering. The business is therefore best characterized as a commercial genomics tools/platform company rather than a therapeutics developer.
