Cirius Pharmaceuticals

Cirrus Pharmaceuticals was a U.S.-based contract pharmaceutical development company focused on formulation development, analytical testing, process development, scale-up, and technology transfer for drug products. The company supported a range of dosage forms including inhaled, nasal, oral, parenteral, topical, and transdermal products, and it operated as an FDA-registered cGMP analytical testing facility. Rather than developing its own therapeutic pipeline, Cirrus provided outsourced R&D and development services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients. The company was founded in 1997 in North Carolina and was later acquired by Recipharm, after previously being associated with Kemwell. It appears to have been absorbed into the broader Recipharm organization rather than continuing as an independent operating biotech company.
