Citrus Health Care was a Florida-based health maintenance organization (HMO) that specialized in providing Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care services. Founded in 2004, the company focused on serving residents in the Tampa Bay area and surrounding Florida counties. It offered a variety of health plan options designed to coordinate care and improve health outcomes for seniors and low-income individuals. In 2010, the company was acquired by WellCare Health Plans, which subsequently integrated Citrus Health Care's operations into its own Florida market presence to expand its government-sponsored program footprint.
