Clínica Virgen Blanca

Clínica Virgen Blanca was a prominent private hospital located in Bilbao, Spain, that served as a key healthcare facility in the Basque Country for several decades. Founded in 1968, the clinic offered a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, including specialized units for oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, and sports medicine. In 2004, the facility was acquired by the IMQ Group (Igualatorio Médico Quirúrgico), the leading private health insurance provider in the region. Following a strategic consolidation of services, the clinic's operations were integrated into the newly constructed Clínica IMQ Zorrotzaurre in 2012, leading to the closure of the original Virgen Blanca site. During its operation, the clinic was also recognized as a center for clinical research and participated in numerous international clinical trials.
