Company intelligence / Profile preview
Clariden Bank was a prominent Swiss private bank headquartered in Zurich that specialized in wealth management and investment services. Originally a subsidiary of Credit Suisse, it merged with several other boutique banks in 2007 to form Clariden Leu, which at the time was one of the largest private banks in Switzerland. While primarily a financial institution, the bank was notable in the life sciences sector for its specialized investment products, including the Clariden Leu Biotech Fund, which was a significant vehicle for capital in the biotechnology industry. In 2012, Credit Suisse fully integrated Clariden Leu into its core operations to streamline its private banking business, and the Clariden brand ceased to operate independently.
