Clean Power Income Fund was a Canadian open-ended investment trust focused on the renewable energy sector. The fund invested in a diverse portfolio of environmentally preferred power generating facilities, including wind, hydroelectric, biomass, and landfill gas assets across North America. Its primary business model involved acquiring operational power assets and distributing the resulting cash flow to unitholders. In 2007, the fund was acquired by Macquarie Power & Infrastructure Income Fund (now Capstone Infrastructure Corporation) in a transaction that significantly expanded the acquirer's renewable energy footprint.
