Cleaver Scientific was a UK-based manufacturer and distributor of electrophoresis equipment and related laboratory products for life science research and clinical laboratory use. Its portfolio focused on nucleic acid and protein electrophoresis systems, electroblotting, gel documentation, pipettes, thermal cyclers, radiation shielding, and other bench laboratory products. The company operated commercially for many years as a private supplier to research and laboratory customers worldwide through direct sales and distributors. Cleaver Scientific Limited entered administration in May 2023, its administration ended in May 2025, and the legal entity was dissolved on August 14, 2025. The Cleaver Scientific brand, manufacturing rights, and intellectual property were acquired by Thistle Scientific, which now manufactures and sells Cleaver Scientific-branded products in the UK and internationally.
