Clin-Comar-Byla

Laboratoires Clin-Comar-Byla was a prominent French pharmaceutical company formed through the merger of Laboratoires Clin-Byla and Laboratoires Comar. Based in Paris, the firm was a major contributor to the French medical landscape in the 20th century, specializing in diverse therapeutic areas such as neuropsychiatry and infectious diseases. The company is well-known for developing and marketing significant drugs like the antidepressant Survector (amineptine) and the antipsychotic Tercian (cyamemazine). Clin-Comar-Byla eventually became a core component of the Clin-Midy group, which played a central role in the consolidation of the French pharmaceutical industry. Following the 1980 merger between Clin-Midy and Sanofi, the company's operations and portfolio were fully integrated into Sanofi.
